⭐LP2T Characters⭐ ⭐LP2T Characters⭐ ⭐LP2T Characters⭐ ⭐LP2T Characters⭐ Yura, once raised under G.H.L, still retains most of her caring nature despite the confusion, and even bitterness, she feels. All of which, keep thoughts of revenge constantly floating back to the surface of her mind these days. Thanks to a stormy night a little under 10 years ago (BD), she now knows she can use strange power she did not have before. Unfortunately, she lacks both experience and proper technique to fully utilize them. Worse, she knows almost nothing of them. It has been a year since she began to help civilians--those she calls "Innocents"--and began her face-offs with Enforcers--footmen of G.H.L that she considers "puppets" of the organization (knowing or unknowingly). Although they are now her enemies, she feels conflicted confronting them given her views from the past. Her good deeds have since earned her many nicknames. Of which, "The Blue Guardian" has become the most popular. Its influence spreads despite the fact she, her motives, and her identity remain a secret. Yura seeks answers to events of the past, while trying to understand a world she no longer recognizes around her. A bit reserved but heavily determined, the one thing she does know is that she will never feel free if the puzzle goes unsolved. And well, if she disrupts the current, cruel system of society while she does it, then good riddens. An only-child, raised by her grandfather Sami after the death of her mother, Vinnie is an ambitious and intelligent pre-teen whose goals in life consists of three things; create a line as impressive as her late mother's work, hold her grandfather to his every promise, and live until old age. They may not seem like much to an outsider, but the manifestation of these goals came about from her bittersweet first years of life. Sometimes stubborn and often heard shouting from across the room, it is almost hard to believe that she was once a very quiet and docile child. She wonders what her life would be like if she hadn't decided to change, but those thoughts are as good as useless and better left behind. Having also found that being who she is today garnered many positive results, she only hopes that her temperament will even out in time. Easily embarrassed and more sensitive than she seems, she does everything she can to avoid being vulnerable in front of others. Despite this habit, her grandfather and Yura both have a way of bringing about her softer side when they are near. Nearly oblivious of her actions when she becomes overly passionate, their accepting natures may add fuel to the fire. Vinnie has always been grateful. Most notably, for her small family and the fact that she has never had to worry about money while others fight to survive without it. Especially as material for her inventions tend to have a high price tag (she sometimes scavanges for these among other reasons) and has openly shared finances with Yura since she came into their lives. As one method of payback for Enforcers improperly using her mother's works against the people, Vinnie destroys them at every opportunity and builds opposing gadgets. Occassionally, even selling them to rebels in anonymity. Her favorite invention so far: A skimming device that she calls "The Interceptor". It scans broadcasts and digitally processed information on private networks (almost certainly in use by Enforcers and a few powerful individuals). Usually hours before it becomes public knowledge. She used scraps from her mother's last projects to finish it. Sami is a kind and devoted grandfather who adores Vinnie to no end. Likewise, he has come to view Yura as part of the family and cherishes her just as much as what she has done for their healing since he found her. He spends the majority of his days having tea -what is now to the point of dependency- to de-stress and reminisce, but he was once a very sought-after woodworker from a historic line of them in his younger days. Now, he rarely takes on new tasks outside of the home. In part, because he no longer has the need for funds but mostly because he prefers to be with Vinnie as much as possible. He is one of a few left of his generation that clearly recall growing up in the world before. As half of his life was spent carefree with his childhood friends and their families, he only occassionally found himself hard at work. Today, many of his family's furniture and projects can be found across most cities just like that of his friends. He wishes nearly every day that Vinnie, Yura and all the current youth were able to experience life the way it was before those difficult years leading up to The Horror and every wave that washed over their lands after. It seems he will never truly escape the ever-growing ache to return to earlier days, which is heavily influenced by the loss of his wife Vita and their daughter (Vinnie's mother) Sina. Ashamed of his behavior after their deaths and the resulting changes in Vinnie because of it, he vowed never to be carried off by that depression again, among other things. He's also invested much self-control, time, and attention to keeping the deathbed promise he swore to Sina about Vinnie's identity given a previous affiliation with G.H.L. It seemed difficult before, but things are further complicated now that they've come to understand Yura has a personal connection to them as well. Sami has always been an easy-going and calm person. Though his playful and daydreamy nature makes him seem a bit high in the clouds, he is very grounded in reality and detail-oriented. A little-known fact about Sami: When his wife began to fall ill, he asked her to teach him how to make clothes (Vita's family were esteemed seamstresses). He honed his skills and has since sewn most of the family's everyday wear, tailored to their styles. He is disappointed that there's no way to continue this for Yura as she travels. A young boy whose gentle upbringing opposes most of the rough experiences he's had since. Resin is 9 years old--he would specify 9.5--when he meets Yura for the first time. A fairly cheerful and talkative nature brings more attention to his extroverted personality. And although it sometimes goes unnoticed, Resin is nearly as sarcastic as he is clever. He was roughly 4 years old during the 3rd Wave, and the events of that time not only forced him to become more independent than any child should, but left him with scars he does not know will ever heal. His fear of the dark also originates there. Unfortunately, his family perished along with the others in his birthplace. And it was then that his own secrets were buried. Or so, as best a child could ever hide them. Resin truly considers himself lucky to have come across The Blue Guardian, even if he knows more than he's told. As he travels with Yura, he finds himself admiring her, dropping caution in favor of comfort, and grateful, too, that her company keeps his loneliness (and any negative thoughts) at bay. He hopes that his confidence, and persistence, will keep her near despite any attempts to separate.
